The Inside Joke - Short Film

Now an official selection for Manchester International Film Festival.  A beautiful short film written and directed by the incredible Comfort Emmanuel.  Comfort and I started talking about the project months before we shot it and I feel so priveleged to be able to have photographed a story so close to her heart.  The cast were breathtaking and it was impossible to not become emotional while filming the performances.  

The story jumps between the present and the past and we decided to use a different aspect ratio and colour tone for each, to guide the audience to a certain point of view, which is then shifted during the film.
